The day after election day can either be wonderful and jubilant, or disturbing and shocking. This of course depends on which candidate you decided to cast your vote. In the aftermath of this long and sometimes frustrating campaign season can we please remember I Peter 2:17? Honour all men. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honour the king.
A Christian should respect other human beings period. I for one, am sick of living in a divided nation. I am tired of looking at red states and blue states. I am tired of hearing about Hispanics, Blacks, Whites, Women, and Men. It is time to realize that our need to come together as a nation is more important than skin color or political party.
I am hopeful about our new President, I am interested in the potential he has to economically rebuild this nation. But let me make one thing clear. My confidence is not in Donald Trump, but in The Almighty God! I pray that the people of this country will again humble themselves and allow America to be “One Nation Under God”. That is when we will truly be able to say, God has made “America great again.”
Respect one another no matter who you voted for. Be in reverence of God, love Him with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength. Always Honor the king, meaning the office of leadership. Regardless of who you think should be in the White House, honor the office of the President of The United States!
