Music Ministry

The music department at Dunbar First Baptist Church has a passion for serving the Lord and a desire to grow closer to Him through song.

Chancel Choir – Our choir is made up of faithful believers that love to serve our lord Jesus Christ. Together we have spirit filled services on Sunday morning and Sunday evening where we sing Choral Pieces ranging from Southern Gospel and Traditional to Contemporary. We also have special singing every Sunday from some very gifted musicians. I am honored and blessed every Sunday to stand before the congregation and lead them in worship.

We love to gather around and learn new songs and have a great time in fellowship when we practice. We sing traditional hymns as well as praise and worship/contemporary songs. We are accompanied by an organist/pianist every Sunday. We also perform using performance tracks and incorporate solos from time to time. We also have our annual Christmas and Easter Musical Cantatas every year with a blended style of music. Our choir is truly a blessing every week. They are an inspiration and truly love the Lord.
